Marlene Portnoy

Former Executive Director, Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation

After her husband Steve was diagnosed with a desmoid tumor, Marlene co-founded and became the Executive Director of DTRF in order to help transform desmoid research and provide patient resources and support. Marlene is well-respected in the rare cancer community due to her leadership of DTRF and tireless dedication to the desmoid patient community. Through the DTRF’s efforts and collaborations with clinicians, researchers, and patients, significant progress has been made in desmoid research. DTRF has been a RCRF Partner since 2016.
